Let’s Landscape Case Study
Strategy
Mike, the owner of Let’s Landscape has always danced to his own tune. He originally purchased Let’s Landscape as a franchise operation but eventually took over the entire company to become a growing force in southern Ontario’s competitive landscaping market. They do things a little differently at Let’s Landscape but their identity, website, and advertisements were blending in and getting lost among a host of similar looking companies. It was time to take the plunge, get creative and communicate their unique character.
Identity
We borrowed elements from the existing logo to avoid alienating a loyal client base but injected new life into the graphic through a bold use of colour. Landscaping isn’t all about earth tones and plant life—it’s about pools, decks, lawns, and amenities. Landscaping is about lifestyle, entertainment and the enjoyment of time away from the grind. Life outdoors is full of colour.
Website
By extending the bold colour story and creative messaging to the website, we made the online experience equally refreshing. The rich colours and gorgeous portfolio photography are a welcome relief to homeowners in the dead of winter—which is when most people begin to plan their next landscape project. Useful information and creative navigation all enhance the usability of this site and help position Let’s Landscape as a trusted source for creative outdoor spaces.

Campaign
The bold colour statement of the logo inspired a whole new look for Let’s Landscape’s advertising and collateral materials. Eye popping abstract watercolour shapes merged with lifestyle silhouettes to express the theme “create your own paradise.” But more importantly, the visuals and messaging, directed at well-to-do boomers, was a radical departure from the competition. They demand attention and promise a refreshingly different experience.
Vehicles
Vehicles are an important touchpoint for landscaping companies, with countless hours spent travelling from site to site, to then be parked—in prime advertising space—in front of client properties. We recommended Let’s Landscape capitalize on this opportunity with this eye-catching placement of their logo.
